Greenville Teen Robbed Of $5 And Smartphone

Police are looking for three or four young men who they say robbed a teen as he was walking down a street Monday evening.

Greenville police say the armed robbery happened shortly after 5:00 p.m. near the intersection of West Third Street and East Roundtree Drive.

The 16-year-old victim says the group demanded money and his cell phone, and the robbers implied they had a weapon.

They got $5 and the teen's cell phone before running away.

Detectives say they're following up on leads in the case, though no one has yet been arrested.
