Greenville Man Jailed For Armed Robbery

A Greenville man is due in court Tuesday morning on serious robbery charges.

Jailers at the Pitt County Detention Center said 54-year-old Gregory Worsley was arrested by the Pitt County Sheriff's office around 9:15 Monday night.

The Greenville man is accused of robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony larceny, felony breaking or entering, and obtaining property by false pretenses,

The Sheriff's Office says the man, who is under house arrest, is accused of threatening his brother with a knife and demanding the brother return $40.

Worsley's bond was set at $200,000 ahead of his first court appearance, scheduled for Tuesday morning.
