Greenville Man Arrested On Attempted Murder Charge Involving Girlfriend

A Pitt County man arrested last spring and charged with assault with a deadly weapon is back in jail now charged with attempted second degree murder.

Police say 23-year-old Christopher Bizzell of Greenville is also charged with kidnapping.

They were called to 1709 Hopkins Drive Thursday night.

The Daily Reflector says the charges stem from him allegedly stomping and kicking his girlfriend.

Last spring Bizzell was charged with beating his girlfriend unconscious after police say he tried to run her over. It's not known if the victim is the same in both incidents.

Bizzell is currently being held in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $700,000 bond.
