For the second time in as many days, Greenville police are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station convenience store.
Police Spokeswoman Kristen Hunter said officers were called to the Kangaroo station on 14th and Greenville Boulevard around 10 p.m. Monday night for the report of an armed robbery.
Investigators said the store clerk was the only person inside at the time when a man shielded his face with his sweatshirt and flashed a handgun.
Police said the man demanded cash, and took off on foot once he got an undisclosed amount.
No one was hurt during the armed robbery.
Police said they are working to determine if this crime is related to other recent, similar robberies in Greenville.
If you have any information that may help police find the robber, you are asked to call (252) 329-4315 or Crime Stoppers (252) 758-7777.
