POLICE: Armed Robber Made Off With Cash On Mountain Bike

Greenville Police said they are still looking for the man who knocked off a Dollar General Wednesday night.

Police got the call of an armed robbery around 9:20 p.m. at the Dollar General store at 203 Airport Road, right across from the Pitt-Greenville Airport.

Investigators said the man came in the store just before closing wearing a black leather jacket, camouflage pants, gloves, and holding a shot gun.

Employees said he demanded money from the clerk, then took off on with an undisclosed amount of cash on his mountain bike along highway NC-11, going north towards Belvoir Road.

Police said while they did not find the crook, they did find bills on the ground near the Dollar General.

Dispatchers say officers were searching for a black man in camo on a bicycle.

Police were also told the man had a shotgun wrapped in duct tape.
