The woman who police say struck Greenville's city manager as she was walking across a parking lot has been charged.
Barbara Lipscomb was struck by a vehicle as she was walking in a parking lot between city hall and Greenville Utilities Wednesday afternoon.
A police report says Diana Kmetz of Greenville was charged with failure to reduce speed.
Lipscomb was injured in the accident, being treated at Vidant Medical Center for undisclosed injuries.
The police report says the city manager was walking to the Wells Fargo. It says Kmetz told police she was rounding a corner in the parking lot, and was looking down and not at the road when her vehicle hit Lipscomb.
The city manager was struck on the car's passenger side front bumper. The report says there was no damage to the vehicle.
Lipscomb is expected back to work on Monday.

Greenville's mayor says the city manager is recovering after being injured in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday.
Barbara Lipscomb was struck by a vehicle as she was walking in a parking lot between city hall and Greenville Utilities.
Police have not released the name of the driver, nor if any charges were brought in the accident.
Mayor Allen Thomas says he didn't expect Lipscomb to come in today. Thomas told WITN that the city manager should be out for a couple of days.
Greenville police have yet to release the actual accident report. Sgt. Joe Friday says the officer who wrote the report made a "coding error" on it and said it had to be corrected before it was included with their online reports. Friday said the police department would not release a paper copy of the report either.

Greenville's city manager was struck by a car this afternoon while walking near city hall.
Police say Barbara Lipscomb was transported to Vidant Medical Center to be checked out. Mayor Allen Thomas tells us Lipscomb has been released from the hospital "and is going to be fine."
The city says Lipscomb was walking in the parking lot between city hall and Greenville Utilities when a vehicle struck her.
The accident happened at 1:40 p.m.
Police say the accident remains under investigation.
A city hall news release says Lipscomb is appreciative of the community concern expressed because of the accident.
