Greenville Police: Truck Driver Cited After Spilling Nearly 3 Thousand Pounds Of Turkey Intestines

A tractor trailer driver in the east has been cited after Greenville Police say that driver spilled nearly 3 thousand pounds of turkey intestines on one local highway.

Greenville Police say that the messy situation happened Friday around 9 p.m. on NC 11 North near Staton Road.

Officials say that the driver, Ray Bolten, has been cited with failure to secure load. Police say that Bolten was driving to a plant near the Virginia line.

We're told that police officers assisted with traffic control as the Greenville Fire Department and Department of Transportation worked for nearly 3 hours with heavy equipment to clean up the mess.
