NEW INFO: Greene County Man Shot In Jaw

A Greene County man who was shot in the face is listed in stable condition at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Greene County Sheriff Lemmie Smith says 58-year-old Aquillo Blount of Apple Tree Rd. near Stantonsburg heard something in his barn, so he stuck his head outside around 3 a.m. Friday. That's when Blount was shot in the jaw, according to Sheriff Smith.

Sheriff Smith says Blount's wife and children were home during the shooting but were not hurt.

Sheriff Smith says Blount is in stable condition at Vidant in Greenville.
