Governor McCrory Visits Greenville For National Day Of Prayer

Several ceremonies are planned across Eastern Carolina Thursday for the National Day of Prayer.

Republican Governor Pat McCrory was in Greenville for a ceremony at the Pitt County Courthouse. The event was at noon.

Other events include:
Freedom Fountain, Jacksonville, 12 p.m.
Lenoir County Courthouse, Kinston, 12 p.m.
Union Point Park, New Bern, 11 a.m.
Jamesville Community Event, Jamesville, 6:30 p.m.

National Day of Prayer is always the first Thursday in May. It's a government-proclaimed day that encourages people to celebrate their faith through prayer.
