Democratic candidate, Lt. Governor Walter Dalton, and Republican opponent, Pat McCrory, both campaigned Saturday in Greenville.

McCrory stopped by the Greenville GOP headquarters on Commerce Street before heading out to the tailgating fields for the Pirate's football game. He brought purple and gold donuts for supporters and spoke about providing opportunities for recent graduates and the job market.

Meanwhile, Lt. Governor Dalton spent the morning at the Alice Keene Community Schools Center polling place, greeting voters and speaking about the importance of health care in rural parts of our state as well as his tax plan.

After leaving Greenville, Dalton headed to Goldsboro and plans on being in Raleigh, Sunday, to support former President Bill Clinton at the Pullen Park Event Plaza.
