An Eastern Carolina trucker has been charged after his big rig flipped in Virginia, killing 80 hogs inside.
Suffolk, Virginia police say Antonio Marquez of Goldsboro was charged with reckless driving and failure to maintain control.
The crash happened Friday on Route 10 in the Chuckatuck area of Suffolk. The wreck took down power lines and closed the highway for part of the day.
Police say there were some 180 hogs in the truck from Goldsboro Hog Farm. None of the hogs escaped from the trailer.
