Looking back at last year's average gas prices for this same week, North Carolina's averaged 11.1 cents per gallon higher in 2013.
Nationally, the average has gone down 10 and a half cents per gallon from last year.
In just the past month, gas here has dropped 13.1 cents per gallon- more than the national average.
The National average is $3.42 a gallon. The average price in NC is $3.34 a gallon.
