Gas Prices Down Compared To Last Labor Day

If you are hitting the road this Labor Day weekend it will not cost you as much as at the pump as it did last year at this time.

Looking back at last year's average gas prices for this same week, North Carolina's averaged 11.1 cents per gallon higher in 2013.

Nationally, the average has gone down 10 and a half cents per gallon from last year.

In just the past month, gas here has dropped 13.1 cents per gallon- more than the national average.

The National average is $3.42 a gallon. The average price in NC is $3.34 a gallon.
