High pressure is now sliding into the area which is decreasing our winds and allowing temperatures to plummet tonight.
As the winds calm expect temperatures to drop rapidly into the upper teens to lower 20s under clear skies.
With temperatures this cold please make sure to dress warm and keep a close eye on outdoor pets.
Monday morning will be a very chilly start to the work week but sunny skies and a calm breeze will allow temperatures to reach into the upper 40s to near 50° by late Monday afternoon.
High pressure will slide off the coast late Monday into early Tuesday which will gradually shift our winds to a more southerly direction which will bump our temperatures back to more seasonable levels from Tuesday through Friday.
Highs will range in the 55-60° range for the middle to late part of the week.
As far as rain chances this week, the clouds will thicken Tuesday with a few showers possible along the coast but rain chances will be limited to about 20-30%.
A more substantial rain chance for the area will arrive late Thursday into early Friday with the entire area seeing the chance for some rainfall much needed rainfall.
Have a great week.
