A fourth red wolf has been killed in Eastern Carolina and a reward is being offered for information to find those involved.
The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service says the wolf was found with a suspected gunshot wound on November 14, north of Fairfield, in Hyde County. It's the fourth radio-collared red wolf taken since September.
November 9th a red wolf was found dead north of Creswell, near the Washington and Tyrrell county line. They believe the red wolf was shot. Red wolves have also been found dead near Belhaven in Beaufort County on October 12th and another near Creswell on September 4th.
Anyone with information that directly leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,500.
