Three Pitt County men and another from Robersonville have been charged in a series of metal thefts in the county this summer.
Deputies say between July 24th and September 4th they took four separate reports of the thefts. Two were thefts in the southeast side of the county, two off West Star Street outside of Greenville, while ECU police took another report of the theft of a Bobcat fork.
Deputies found the stolen items at a metal recycling business and have charged the four, who they say were involved in at least one of the cases.
Jason Brewer of Greenville was charged with one count of felony larceny, four counts of misdemeanor larceny, five counts of obtaining property by false pretense, and one count first degree trespassing. He was jailed under a $5000.00 secure bond.
Ryan Westbrook of Greenville was charged with two counts of misdemeanor larceny, three counts of aid and abet obtaining property by false pretense. His bond was set at $5000.00 secured.
Nicolas Gallinoto of Greenville has been charged with felony larceny, felony obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor larceny. Deputies say Gallinoto has possibly fled the state. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Pitt County Sheriff's Office.
Jason Coburn of Robersonville has been charged with related crimes in the case.
