Former President H.W. Bush Hospitalized

Former President George H.W. Bush is in the hospital.

His chief of staff says the 88-year-old former president is being treated for bronchitis at Houston's Methodist Hospital. Jean Becker tells the Houston Chronicle that the illness is not considered life-threatening but there had been concerns that the lingering cough could have developed into pneumonia.

Bush is said to be in stable condition and should be released this weekend.
