Former Police Officer Killed In Crash

A former police officer died in a crash Wednesday morning, just five miles from his home in Hertford County.

The Highway Patrol says Michael Fedock was traveling east on Wiccacon Road around 8:00 a.m. They say for some reason he went off the road, over-corrected, and his pickup truck flipped on its side and slid into a tree.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The 35-year-old Fedock was a former police officer in Ahoskie.
