A former police officer, who was arrested last year for DWI, has been found not guilty.
Kyle Gaines was off duty when he was pulled over by a fellow officer on East Fifth Street in late February.
Gaines had been a Greenville police officer for two years, and was first placed on administrative leave after his arrest. Gaines later resigned his position with the force.
His attorney, Jeff Foster, says Gaines was found not guilty of DWI during a trial in Pitt County on Tuesday.
