Fire Investigators Asking For Information On Morning Home Fire

Investigators said they have not ruled out arson for an 8:30AM house fire, but they need more information before they can close the case.

Onslow County Fire Marshal Brian Kelly said his team is continuing their investigation of a house fire, and have not ruled out arson as a potential cause.

Kelly said the residents of 4166 Richalnds Highway were able to get out and salvage a few of their belongings. The call came in around 8:30 Monday morning. Kelly said the fire was contained to the living area of the home.

Kelly said crews from Rhodestown, Richlands, Southwest, and Backswamp all responded to the call and got the fire under control quickly.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call the fire marshal's office at (910)-347-4270.
