A family with five children lost their home after fire ripped through their trailer just before lunch today.
Fire crews were called to the trailer on River Road Estates Road, that's just north of Greenville, around 11:50 a.m.
The first fire truck on scene reported that the home was fully involved with fire when they arrived.
A husband and wife, along with five children live in the mobile home. Only the mother and a four year old boy were at home when fire broke out, while the dad was at work and other children were at school.
The mom and son woke up to find smoke and fire in the living room, according to firefighters. They were able to get out okay.
Firefighters say it took them five to six minutes to contain the fire. The exact cause is being investigated.
The four children not at home at the time are twin five year old girls, an eight year old girl and a 13 year old girl.
The American Red Cross has been notified to assist the family.
