Fire Destroys Duplin County Mobile Home

A Duplin County Fire Chief says that a single wide mobile home was destroyed Saturday after a fire.

Albertson Volunteer Fire Department Chief Winslow Tew says the blaze happened around 1:45 Saturday afternoon at the Wind Mill mobile home park off Red Hill Road in Duplin County.

Tew says that the home was fully engulfed when they arrived on scene and that 15 to 20 mile per hour winds fed the flames even more. 3 people were said to have been living there but were not home at the time.

No word yet on what may have sparked the fire.
