FIRST ON WITN: Woman Killed In Greenville Car Wreck Identified

A woman from Raleigh was killed after losing control of her vehicle in Greenville.

Greenville police say the 48 year old lost control of her 2001 Geo Tracker on West Fifth Street near Darden Drive, near the Vidant Medical Center campus. The wreck was reported at 12:14 a.m. Sunday.

The woman has been identified at Teresa Webb-Gooding.

Police say the vehicle went off the side of the road and flipped. Dispatchers said the vehicle went down a ravine off the side of the road. According to police, the woman was partially thrown from her car.

No one else was in the vehicle.

Police say Webb-Gooding was pronounced dead at Vidant Medical Center.

We are gathering details about a fatal car wreck that involved a vehicle crashing down into a ravine.

Dispatchers said a person was killed in Greenville just after midnight Sunday morning when their car went off the road near the intersection of 5th Street and Moyewood Drive. Moyewood is just west of Memorial near the Vidant Medical Center Campus.
