Farmville EMS Warn Residents Of Scam

Farmville EMS is warning residents not to fall for a scammer driving around town.

Kyle Willis, assistant EMS chief in Farmville, says a man is driving around in a van telling people there is a new law and they are not allowed to give the name of their business or their last name to 911 operators.

Willis says the man then offers to sell signs with their house number to put in front of their homes.

He offers to make the signs on the spot and charge $25.00.

Willis says it's all a scam and officials are looking for the man.
