UPDATE: Driver Charged In Onslow County Rollover Wreck

Troopers say the driver of an Onslow County wreck that sent him and four teenagers to the hospital is now facing some hefty charges.

The Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Tod Arnold has been charged with DWI, reckless driving, and four felony counts of serious injury by motor vehicle. The A.L.E also charged him with providing alcohol to underage people.

Troopers say Arnold took a curve too fast, flipping his vehicle early Monday morning with four teenage passengers inside.

We're told everyone involved has been released from the hospital and are recovering at home.

Troopers says alcohol played a factor in an accident where a speeding car flipped over in a residential neighborhood, injuring five young people inside.

Trooper C.J. Matos says the five had just left a late night bonfire in the Rock Creek subdivision, outside of Jacksonville. He said all five had been drinking.

The driver, 21-year-old Tod Arnold, was pinned in his Ford Mustang and send to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

Matos said the crash happened around 2:30 a.m. The trooper said Arnold took a curve at nearly 60 miles per hour, ran off the road, came back on the road and then hit a brick culvert on Daisy Court. The car then flipped over.

The Highway Patrol says no one in the car had their seat belts on and charges are still pending.

The passengers injured were: Jordan Johnson, 16, who went to Vidant Medical Center with a possible broken neck; Tyler Rose, 16, who was transported to New Hanover Regional; Meta Koene, 16, taken to Vidant; and Thomas Jeppson, 18, transported to Onslow Memorial Hospital.
