A Halifax County nightclub where there was a shooting New Year's Eve has had its ABC permit suspended.
An agent with the Department of Public Safety's Alcohol Law Enforcement investigated reports of gunshots fired outside K's Lounge in Enfield on New Year's Eve.
Police say shortly after K's Lounge closed, someone fired four to six shots at a car that was leaving. Several of those shots traveled across the street into a home where a couple had been sleeping. One bullet hit a 68-year-old man in his hand.
The ABC Commission will hold the club's permits until the case is heard by the Office of Administrative Hearings.
The gunman is still at large.
