Dozens of new charges have been filed against the man accused of secretly videotaping pepole inside a Tarboro fitness center's tanning bed.
Thomas Owens, 30, is facing 74 new charges after investigators discovered pictures on his laptop, according to the Daily Southerner. Owens was arrested in April after secret videotaping at B&G Fitness in Tarboro came to light.
Of the 74 new charges, five are for taking indecent liberties with a minor. The Daily Southerner says some of the pictures found on the laptop included minors.
Owens remains behind bars in the Edgecombe County Jail.
New information this morning about a man accused of videotaping customers at a gym; he's now facing more charges and due to appear in court Wednesday.
29-year-old Thomas Owens of Speed was arrested last month on two counts of secret peeping. Court records show he's now charged with four counts of that crime.
The investigation began with a phone call to the Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office about secret videotaping at B&G Fitness Establishment.
Owens is due in Edgecombe County court Wednesday.
