Edenton Police Investigate 3 Robberies Over Course Of A Month

Edenton Police say they are investigating a rash of robberies, including one at a motel Saturday, which all may be related.

Edenton Police say they are investigating a rash of robberies, including one at a motel Saturday, which all may be related.

Police Chief Jay Fortenbery said the most recent happened Saturday around 10:20 p.m. at the Super 8 Motel on Virginia Road. The suspect was described as a light skinned black male wearing a dark colored hoodie, mask, and was armed with a hand gun.

Police are also investigating two prior commercial robberies that happened earlier this month and in late November. The most recent happened December 15th at the Shell Station on Broad Street, where a man robbed the store with a handgun. Prior to that a man with a knife robbed the Etna Station at North Broad Street on November 22nd.

Police say all 3 robberies may be related.
