Eastern Carolinians Credited With Helping To Save Tourists In Plane Crash

Three people from Eastern Carolina are being credited with helping to save three tourists after their plane crashed in Honduras.

Michael and Ranie Best and Timmy Evans from Kenansville in Duplin County were on a boat off Roatan in Honduras when a seaplane with a Texas family aboard crashed.

The three from Kenansville, along with people on another boat, pulled the family out of the water.

The entire family from Texas spent days in a Honduran hospital before returning home to Texas.

Evans commented on his Facebook page, "So glad all are OK. I was on the parasail boat along with Michael and Ranie Best."
