The National Weather Service has confirmed two separate tornadoes touched down April 25th in Greene County.
The first of the two tornadoes touched down near Kearney Cemetery Road, about five miles west northwest of Snow Hill. This tornado was rated as an EF0 with winds ranging between 65 and 85 mph.
A second tornado spawned near Old Beamon Creek Road, approximately six miles north of Snow Hill and was rated as an EF1 with winds between 86 and 110 mph.
Both tornadoes were described as brief by the NWS survey team. No fatalities were reported with regards to these two tornadoes.
