ECU students participate in "staycation" for Spring Break

Spring Break is underway for many college students and some decided to give back to the community during their time off.

10 East Carolina University students stayed in Greenville to work at the Greenville Community Shelter for their "staycation." They cleaned, sorted supplies and cooked meals for people staying at the shelter.

These students are not only helping at the shelter and other locations, but they'll also be sleeping at the shelter. Tthe students tell us this is a great way to give back during their time off.

The "staycation" is one of five alternative break experiences being offered by ECU during this year's Spring Break.
