East Carolina University has found a way to remember and honor students who died while going to their school.
ECU officials dedicated a student memorial garden at noon today.
The memorial is located on east campus, between the Erwin Building and Ledonia Wright Cultural Center.
ECU student Donald "Trey" Martin III designed the memorial, which includes a 12-foot tall bronze sculpture. Martin won a campus-wide vote on the memorial last spring.
