Greenville -- WITN Sports Director Billy Weaver has learned that Shamarr Bowden suffered a dislocated shoulder in practice and will miss Wednesday's game at Tulsa and likely Saturday's game at SMU. His status for the rest of the season is undetermined.
Bowden has played in 21 games for the Pirates this season averaging 5.3 points per game. He has proven to be a big spark off the bench by hitting 28 three-pointers, second on the team.
The Pirates are already without senior guard Corvonn Gaines who suffered a torn pectoral muscle and senior Erin Straughan. Straughan was able to use a redshirt and will be able to play again next season.
The Pirates are in Tulsa for a Wednesday night Conference USA game against Golden Hurricane.
