ECU Renames College of Technology & Computer Science To Include Engineering

One of ECU's Colleges has changed its name in an effort to grow the program by gaining more interest from high school students.

ECU's College of Technology and Computer Science will now be called the College of Engineering and Technology, with a heavy emphasis on the word "engineering."

Dean David White says over the years, the college has been successful at continuing to grow each year, but they've had issues with recruiting from high schools, because many people weren't clear on whether or not ECU actually had an engineering program.

White says he hopes the new name will lead to continued growth for the program, and that the most talented high school students will choose ECU for their college education and engineering degree.
