ECU has named a new assistant strength and conditioning coach, a woman who has worked in the same field East Tennessee State as well as developed a strength and conditioning program for the Raleigh police department's Special Operations and SWAT units.
According to a release, Christine Coniglio "will work with the cheerleading, dance and cross country teams, while assisting with women’s basketball, softball and both golf teams. She will also be in charge of the strength and conditioning testing and evaluation for all ECU student-athletes."
In her last job, Coniglio worked at East Tennessee State as a sport scientist and as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant, which included analyzing the program and gathering data as part of "long-term student-athlete" monitoring and development.
According to a release, she "co-founded and developed a strength and conditioning program for the Raleigh Police Department’s Special Operations and SWAT units."
Coniglio has also been a fitness instructor at Meredith College, assistant director of strength and conditioning at Cardinal Gibbons High School and conducted student-athlete testing and monitoring at NC State.
