Dyson Recalls Portable Electric Heaters

A popular brand of portable electric heaters are now being recalled for safety reasons.

Dyson is recalling nearly 400,000 of its portable electric heaters. Dozens of the electric heaters have short-circuited and overheated, posing a fire hazard.

Heaters being recalled include all "Dyson Hot Heaters" and "Dyson Hot+Cool Heaters" with model number "AM04" and all "Dyson Hot+Cool Heaters" with model number "AM05."

If you own one of these heaters, it's strongly recommended that you unplug the device and stop using it.

The heaters were sold online and nationwide from September 2011 through March 2014.
