Drug Trafficking Suspect Being Held On $2 Million Bond

A local man is waking up in jail under a $2 million bond after police say they caught him trafficking drugs.

Jail officials say 36-year-old Carl Jerome was arrested by the Greenville Police Drug Task Force. Jerome is charged with possession of up to half an ounce of pot, trafficking opium or heroin, trafficking cocaine, and maintaining a vehicle or residence for the drugs.

He's scheduled to make his first court appearance later this morning.
