Two Teens Arrested In Oak City Armed Robbery

Two teenagers have been arrested for Monday's armed robbery of the Family Dollar store in Oak City.

18 year old Lewis James, Jr. of Robersonville and 16 year old Tyler Bridgers of Oak City were arrested by Martin County deputies on robbery with a dangerous weapon charges.

Deputies say the two came into the store with shotguns and demanded money from the cashiers. No one was hurt during the robbery.

Both James and Bridgers are being held on $100,000 bonds and have Monday court dates.

Authorities are searching for two men, after deputies say they robbed a Family Dollar at gunpoint Monday night. It happened around 8 P.M. in Oak City.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office says two black men came into the store, wearing ski masks, and armed with shotguns.

Lieutenant Drew Robinson says the gunmen ran from the business, toward the Commerce Street area in Oak City.

Tuesday morning deputies released surveillance photos of three people of interest in the case.
