You've heard of the show Dancing With The Stars, but Thursday night Pitt Community College put a local spin on the idea for an annual fundraising event.
WITN's Dave Jordan was one of three judges for the competition. 7 teams in total helped raise money for Pitt Community College student scholarships. Development director Lynne James says the idea for a dance competition is something the college is very proud of.
"This is an event that PCC has been doing for a number of years, but the dance show is an entirely new component," said PCC Foundation's Lynne James.
You can watch the Dancing with the P.C.C. Stars event on WITN 2 Friday March 15th at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday March 16th at 7:30 p.m.
"Dancing with the PCC Stars" will take place at the Rock Springs Center in Greenville tonight. This is a new and exciting event to help raise money for Pitt Community College student scholarships.
You can contribute to the fundraising effort by voting for your favorite team. Click HERE to meet the teams.
Votes will cost $10 each. Click HERE to cast your vote now. Every 7 votes cast pays for one credit hour for an in-state student. So, vote for as many teams and as many times as you would like.
WITN's Dave Jordan will be one of the judges for tonight's event. He will bring us live updates on WITN News beginning at 5.
If you don't have tickets to tonight's event, you will have two opportunities to see the entire program on WITN 2: Friday, March 15th at 7pm and Saturday, March 16th at 7:30pm.
The team that gains the most votes and raises the most money will be announced Thursday, March 21st.
