DISPATCHERS: Early Morning Wreck Sends At Least One To The Hospital

Dispatchers in Carteret County said a two vehicle wreck was reported in the Newport area around 3 a.m. on Friday.

Dispatchers said one person was taken to the hospital after a wreck near the intersection of Nine Mile Road and Nine Foot Road.

No word yet on the extent of injuries.

The investigation continues.
