Deputies now say five children were exposed to chemicals used for making meth.
31-year-old Jarred Mackey and 30-year-old Holly Allen are both in the Onslow County Jail and faced a judge Tuesday morning.
The pair is facing a handful of drug charges and a misdemeanor child abuse charge, according to court records.
The children were between the ages of one month to 13 years old.
Onslow County Deputies said they found ingredients for making meth in the pair's Richlands home.
The two remain in jail on $35,000 secured bonds.
