Four people from Greenville are facing charges after a traffic stop overnight on I-95 South in Halifax County.

According to the sheriff's office, Deputy T.M. Sewell stopped the car driven by 21-year-old Susan Watson just before 2:30 a.m. Deputy Sewell says he smelled marijuana coming from inside the car. Other deputies came to help Deputy Sewell, including a K-9 and a Highway Patrol trooper. The people in the car, however, refused to get out for a search, according to the sheriff's office. When deputies did search the vehicle, Deputy Sewell seized approximately 462 grams of marijuana, marijuana roaches, several marijuana smoking devices, rolling papers, and a marijuana grinder.

Ryan Rivera, 27, is charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a dwelling/vehicle for a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting a public officer. Three others were charged with resisting a public officer: 21-year-old Susan Watson, 21-year-old Courtney McGowen and 24-year-old Tyson Rivera.

Ryan Rivera's bond was set at $10,000, while the other three arrested were booked under $500 bonds. They are all due in court on December 4.
