DEPUTIES: Custodian sold teacher drugs at Beaufort County school

Two former school employees have been arrested on charges that one sold drugs to the other while at the school.

Beaufort County deputies say Christopher Alligood, a former teacher at Bath Elementary School, is charged with two counts of possession of schedule II controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school.

They also arrested Pamela Johnson, who was a custodian at the school. She is charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance within 1000 feet of a school.

Deputies say Johnson sold prescription pain pills to Alligood on two separate occasions at the school. They say 26 Percocet pills were sold on March 17 and March 18th.

Beaufort County Schools says Alligood, who had been with them since 1999, resigned on Friday. Johnson, employed for two years, resigned last Thursday.

The two were jailed on $10,000 bonds.
