Lawmen say Justin Cash didn't get very far with the cash they say he took during a morning armed robbery in Lenoir County.

Shortly after 8:00 a.m. Billy Bobs Bar and Grill near Seven Springs was held up. The owner says she walked back to the counter and saw a man crouched down near the cash register. The man then pointed a gun at the woman and made off with two bank bags.

About ten minutes later a deputy spotted the getaway vehicle near the Lagrange overpass on Highway 903. It was stopped on West Washington Street in LaGrange.

The driver, Justin Cash of Seven Springs was arrested after confessing to the armed robbery, according to a press release. Deputies say all of the money was recovered, while the handgun turned out to be a BB pistol.

The 29-year-old Cash was jailed on a $35,000 bond.
