Cyberstalking Charges For College Track Coach Dismissed

On Tuesday. Mount Olive College officials said the charges against their head track coach had been dropped a day ahead of his scheduled court appearance.

Matt van Lierop was accused of cyberstalking by former athletes.

One woman claimed the coach sent her up to 25 text messages within five minutes.

Van Lierop is accused of having inappropriate conversations with the team members about their relationships with each other.

The college's website still lists van Lierop as both the men's and women's cross country head coach.
