Congressman Jones Has Kidney Stones Removed

Congressman Walter Jones underwent successful laser surgery in Greenville today for the removal of kidney stones.

In a news release, the Third District Republican announced he had laser lethotripsy at Vidant Medical Center.

Jones, who lives in Farmville, is expected to make a full recovery in the upcoming weeks.

The 70-year-old Jones was elected to his 10th term in 2012, and says he hopes to soon return to campaigning for his 11th term.
