Community College Counselor Put On Leave After Arrest

A community college student services counselor has been placed on administrative leave after his arrest on Monday.

Michael Curry is charged with misdemeanor indecent exposure and misdemeanor sexual battery.

He is accused of exposing himself to a young woman on March 15th while in his office at Martin Community College. Court records also say the man pulled the woman's pants away from her and said "let me see".

Curry has worked for the college since August 15th, 2011 at a salary of $44,0000 a year and the school says he's had no previous problems.

He has an April 22nd court date.

A community college counselor has been charged with indecent exposure in a crime that authorities say happened on campus.

Martin County deputies today charged Michael Curry with misdemeanor indecent exposure and misdemeanor sexual battery.

Deputies say last Monday they received a report of possible indecent exposure at the college. They say Curry was acting as a counselor and the alleged crime took place in his office.

The 44-year-old Curry, who lives in Williamston, was jailed on a $5,000 bond. He has an April 22nd court date.

We're are awaiting more information from Martin Community College whether any disciplinary action has been taken again Curry in light of his arrest.
