Some sunshine and colder air will move into eastern Carolina on Thursday. Afternoon highs will only reach the middle to upper 40s with a northerly wind at 8 to 16 mph. A few sprinkles may push through the area Thursday night but dry and seasonably chilly conditions will return for Friday with highs reaching around 50°.
The next chance for significant rainfall will occur Saturday as a coastal low tracks near our coast. Mostly cloudy skies with a stray shower will be possible on Sunday. Weekend highs will run a few degrees either side of 50.
