A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7am on Saturday for Beaufort, Mainland Hyde, Martin, Outer Banks Dare, Tyrrell, Washington and western Dare County. The threats are black ice and slick roadways.
It will be a warm weekend across eastern Carolina. Clouds and fog will continue through Saturday morning with a bit of sunshine expected in the afternoon. Highs should hit the lower 70s in most locations. There should be more sunshine on Sunday and that will push highs into the middle 70s. The beaches will see a mixture of clouds and sunshine with highs in the lower 70s. Winds will remain light southwesterly through the weekend.
