Police say they have arrested the boyfriend of a missing teacher and are charging him with murder after a body was found in southwest Charlotte.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Rodney Moore said the body was found early Thursday in some woods following a search by his officers and a K-9 unit from the York County, South Carolina, Sheriff's Office.
Police have been looking for 31-year-old Bianca Tanner since June 8. The body has been sent to the North Carolina Medical Examiner's Office for positive identification.
Police arrested Angelo Grayson Smith Jr. shortly after the body was found. Police say he was the last person known to have seen Tanner. It was not clear if Smith has an attorney.
Tanner had moved to Charlotte from Greensboro recently with her 3-year-old son.
