Police say a car late this morning crashed into a utility pole, as well as a vehicle on display at a nearby car dealership.

It happened on Greenville Boulevard, near Greenville Nissan.

Greenville police say an older model Porsche left the highway and first struck a utility pole. It then hit a road sign, and ran into a display ramp at the dealership, hitting the display vehicle as well.

A crew from Greenville Utilities is repairing damage to the pole while two lanes of the street were shut down.

The driver was taken to Vidant Medical Center. There's no word on how serious the injuries were or what caused the accident.
